My wife and I recently purchased a residence for our Daughter to live in while she is attending UTC.  I have known Bill Rothfolk as a good friend for several years, and when we decided to purchase this home, we requested Bill's assistance in helping us find a particular real estate value, in a particular part of town.  He was an exceptional resource in providing us with property options to review via the internet that met our budget, size, and location criteria.  He found a suitable home, arranged for us to see the property, all before the listing agent had even placed a for sale sign in the yard.  We signed a contract to purchase the home that evening, and closed about 30 days later. Bill Rothfolk provided us with great advice with regard to the appraised value, contract offer, home inspection, and mortgage options.  All of the people Bill recommended were very prompt and professional;  we were very pleased with every detail of this transaction.  All in all, I would say that dealing with Bill Rothfolk was: "Very nice, with great advice!"

Bill Rothfolk helped my wife and I purchase a lakefront lot on Watts Bar Lake in 2006.  We were very impressed with his professionalism and his knowledge.  Bill was able to help us with all aspects of the transaction from having the lot cleared, to percolation testing for a septic tank, to dock approval by the TVA.  A realtor of lesser skill and knowledge would have made the quick sale and moved on.  Bill, however, went the extra mile to make sure that we were getting a piece of property that would be as flexible as we needed to build our vacation home.  A year later, we could not be more pleased and in fact the property is better that we dreamed.

Dear Bill,As you know we made a total of 4 trips to Tennessee looking for the perfect spot to build our Log Home/Chalet. After the first two trips we were frustrated with listings that showed “Community Dock” (or) water access only to find after spending the time to travel and visit listings “NO Community dock existed even though it was part of the MLS listing!” One listing stated…water access which turned out to be a creek 4 foot across with 8” of water, not enough to float your boat!  Another realtor showed us Goodfield Landing, then when questions arose on the guarantee of dock/future years usage….they didn’t even make a phone call on our behalf to get clarification on The Community docks we actually saw the Docks!...as to how one was guaranteed a boat slip?  We went back to Florida frustrated and had about given up! Even though I made the initial call to Land Resources and got positive clarification as to how year to year slip access could be worked out… your involvement, interest and in tandem approach with us made the buying decision positive. You asked that we select you as realtor/agent of choice, we did! The lot ended up in a gated new community with clubhouse, pool and private marina and a spectacular vista view from all sides, priced 20-30k less than other(s) we considered!  This is where you & EXIT Upward Realty jumped ahead of the pack and performed for us…..Your visiting the property numerous times, going to Meigs County Courthouse, working with Matt Howe @ Land Resources, finding a contact for the recently formed Goodfield Landing Home Owners Association, keeping in touch via phone and the inter-net, sending documents, helping us find legal representation, Title Company, and a hotel close to both the land and closing office. I guess this is more than a paragraph Bill…but Rosi and I can’t thank you enough for your professionalism, friendship and assistance.  After our closing Bill, you sent me over to the Meigs County Courthouse (with the BIO from you on the Meigs County Mayor), was MOST HELPFUL in my getting beyond his study on me…as a soon to be “Halfback” moving to TN! Here’s my closing, If you want representation, friendship and end up feeling so good about Bill Rothfolk that you take him to lunch to celebrate after the closing …Call EXIT Upward Realty, you’ll be glad you did! The Classic diner in Dayton was SO GOOD (Bill’s choice) we know it will be a favorite of ours once we build in August of 2008

Not many people would understand how hard it is to buy a house when you are out state. The internet does not justify what the properties really look like or there surrounding areas. The hard part for us is not knowing the area of the homes while we are looking for homes on the internet.  Due to our good fortune we found Bill Rothfolk at EXIT UPWARD REALTY. Bill understands what we want in purchasing a home. Bill has gone out of his way in keeping us up to date on current homes and new homes that come up on the market.  Bill has also gone out of his way to go and take extra pictures of the homes and the surrounding area that we are interested in.  That is to see if we would be interested in looking at that home.  Bill knows that when we climb in our car and drive from Buffalo to Chattanooga that our time is very limited. Bill and I set up the houses that we are interested in and has the appointments ready for us as soon as we arrive in Tennessee. That's so we can see as many of the homes as we can in the 2 days we are there.
