My real estate career began in July 1976 and in January 1979 I became a broker.  I started in management as the sales manager for Ferger Bros., Realtors in the late 70s, a company founded in Chattanooga in 1887.

I have a degree in Business Administration from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In Chattanooga, I have worked for several independent firms and for franchises including Century 21 and Coldwell Banker.  

However, those other fine franchise companies can't match the program EXIT Realty offers to each agent.  For that reason, I selected EXIT as THE franchise to help build my company. I specialize in the listing and selling of residential property.  In 32+ years I have worked with many buyers, homeowners, and investors.  I am in the market everyday and dedicate my experience and knowledge full time to my clients. My efforts are intended to make sure every client becomes a client for life.

As an investor I own a number of residential rental properties.  I have also remodeled many properties I have bought to resale and to keep.  If you have an interest in real estate investing, you can draw on my experience - and not repeat my mistakes.  We should talk.

An avid year-around boater, licensed as a U.S. Coast Guard MASTER Captain, and OUPV Captain, (Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels), with an Assistance Towing endorsement.  My experience provides excellent knowledge of  Lake Chickamauga and Watts Bar Lake on the Tennessee River, representing over 130 miles of navigable waterway. This provides important lake property input as to dockage availability, water depth as to seasonal and year round usage. I have facilitated with my lakefront property clients through the boat dock application process, with successful issuance of TVA dock permits.  I’m dedicated to put “Real Service” back in your Real Estate needs. Thirty years’ commercial real estate experience with demonstrated success across a wide spectrum of assignments qualifies me to offer service.  Projects include:  a) marketing, leasing, and managing retail centers, outlet malls, office, and mixed-use projects located in the south and Midwest; b) listing and selling undeveloped land, medical office condominiums, and light industrial facilities with combined values exceeding millions of dollars.   I received extraordinary training and gained field experience through employment with CBL & Associates Properties, Healthcare Realty Management Co., Prime Outlets, and Chattanooga and Cincinnati Brokerage firms. 

Residential experience includes navigating both Buyers and Sellers through the labyrinth of residential transactions.  I have sold new and existing homes, acreage, and waterfront properties.  Personally, I’ve weathered numerous corporate moves and understand the anxiety associated with family upheavals.  I derive satisfaction from assisting families and business with the selection and closing processes.

I’ve handled commercial retrofit construction projects, and served as the General Contractor in the renovation of a dozen homes, including restoration of historic residences in German Village, Columbus, OH and in the Price Hill Historic District, Cincinnati, OH – doing much of the interior finish myself.

Education includes earning a BS, Organizational Management, from Covenant College, Lookout Mountain, GA; Religion, Christian Education and Liberal Arts studies at Bryan College, Dayton, TN.  I am a graduate of the TN Realtors Institute (GRI), and TREES – the TN Real Estate Educational Systems (CTG) and have earned professional education credits through the International Council of Shopping Centers’ University, Boards of Realtors, and top-notch seminars. I am a member of the National, TN, and Chattanooga Association of Realtors.
